About Supplementary Reading Materials
READ Project is working with the government to enhance the reading capacity of first to third grade students. Beside of text-books supplementary reading materials play an important role to develop reading skill. Therefore, in order to increase children’s interest in reading, 119 supplementary reading materials have been developed under READ Project. Those has been selected by verifying their utility. According to the reading capability of the first to third grade students contents have been divided into 0 to 6 these 7 different levels. Here supplementary reading materials have been presented in two different ways. First, Interactive, Stories can be listened via audio effects. Required part of the story can be stopped and run again. Second, PDF, where books can read by own. Hopefully these digitalized books will develop the reading skill and increase the habit of reading as well.
